In Heather Ridge, Virginia, myth has it

soul mates.
Too afraid of seeing her one-time trusted

Ice cream creator Cooper Schmidt plans to
take his product nationwide. His marketing team proposes the perfect
destination for his next store. Unfortunately, it belongs to the father of the
woman he’s harbored feelings for since high school. He uses her belief in myths
and mails her the candy heart to entice her to Heather Ridge, in hopes she will
convince her father to sell.
There’s just one problem. After ten
years, his old feelings tumble forward, stronger than ever, and Lyse has a
decision to make—discover who has the candy heart companion or follow her
heart.
Oh, young love, first love, unrequited love! Cooper is a honey of a hero, even if he is working an angle. Still in love with Lyse from all those years ago in high school, he is now ready to go out and get what he wants. Lyse regrets, for multiple reasons, not going to the Valentine's Day dance with Cooper back in the day. She's also enthralled by the legend of the Find Me candy heart and wants to find Cooper and see if he still has the same effect on her that he did in high school. Cooper and Lyse do come full circle in a charming and satisfying way.
There's ice cream in this book. Lots and lots of ice cream. Just warning you. Make sure you have your favorite flavors on hand when you read this story
